Except he's not that interested in eating her. (On the other hand, +1 for no high school settings or dystopias.) Selendrile is a dragon that sees her set out for him to devour. Or rather, she's been accused of being a witch, and in the medieval setting of the book, you're guilty from the moment someone claims they've seen you dancing naked. But it's so much more than that, at the same time. He's a dragon who can change into human form - and an exceptionally good-looking human form - and is given plot-related reasons to travel with the heroine, Alys, and come into intimate situations with her.
